A certain site I visit appears to of found a way around the Safari pop up blocker (lets just say that beginning of the name of the site is the same as the name of those long haired, wooden leg, hobbling, seafaring scalawags who say arrrrrrgggg a lot). This site is able to launch a window that contains a page that is a web porn site. At first I though that somehow this was a mistake, perhaps I'd clicked on an Ad on the site or something but sure enough every time I go to the site in question in Safari this site is able to launch a new window that either contains a link to a adult dating site or a live video chat window with some skanky young hussy talking dirty to some old geezers!

So I'm wondering how this site is able to do this as it appear that visiting the site with Firefox does not cause this new window to be opened. It's not a popup but a new window that appears?

So, is this some major flaw in Safari. I'm running the latest cat, Lion with newest updates installed. I also run little snitch, peer guardian etc so I've got the machine locked down somewhat. And sure, there are certain sites one expects this type of shenanigans from so you could say this is to be expected but just wondering why this happens on safari not other browsers. I ran CalmX and it came up with nothing so I'm sure I don't have a virus.

    Safari bug / flaw??
