Hi, Im a first time mac user (got macbook today). Runs great, couldn't be happier except i have one problem.

In safari i can't seem to access pages that involve "logging in" - online banking, facebook etc.

I have trauled the help pages, but to no avail. The probelm also happened when i used firefox.

Any help would be greatly appeciated

Try reseting Safari and then see what happens. That's very unusual. I don't use facebook much, but I have a few times when I was at school and it worked fine. You must also be logged into MacRumors, so it's not particularly a problem with logging into any log-in type site.

I have tried reseting safari, but that didnt work. Im currently on another computer, as i can't login to post on my mac.

I had this same problem the other day and found out that somehow in Safari>Preferences>Security the setting for accepting cookies went from "Only From Sites..." to "Never". I changed the setting back and now things are fine.
