I'm a new Mac user. I have a MacBook running Snow Leopard 10.6.8. Safari version is 5.0.5.

eBay pages don't always display correctly in Safari. Sometimes I can't see the item descriptions. And PayPal pages usually don't display correctly either. The payment pages are so garbled, I can't use them, and I have to access them on one of my PCs. I have no problem with item descriptions displaying correctly on PC, either.

I did a lot of googling, and someone recommended clearing the Safari cache. I did this last night, and the item description problem was fixed -- for a while. Now the eBay item descriptions are missing again. Someone else recommended going into the cookie settings and disabling cookies for ebay.com, but I couldn't find any way to do this.

Is there a permanent fix for this, or should I install a different browser? Which one?)

Thanks.

I use Firefox as my second browser, but you'll just have to try some out to see what works for you. Lots of people seem to like Chrome.
