Hi,
I recently purchased a retina Macbook pro and I have a couple questions since I am making a transition from Windows to OS X.

1.In a web browser in Windows, control+enter would automatically add a “.com” to the end of a url. Is there a keyboard command in OS X to achieve the same action?

2. When I open Safari from the dock, is there a setting to automatically place my cursor on the address bar? Currently, when I open Safari I have to go up and click on the address bar to start typing in the address field. On web browsers in Windows, I could open up a web browser and start typing in the search field right away. Is this possible with OS X in Safari?

Thanks,
Rudy

1. No, but if you add a slash / to the end it will take you to the .com for that entry. So ford/ and enter takes you ford.com

2. No, but command-l will take you to the address bar.
