Safari quits spontaneously without crash report

    I don't know when this started to happened but it's somewhere between 10.8.0 and 10.8.1. Every few hours, I click on a link and Safari quits instantly. and here's the interesting part: that little dialogue that says "The application Safari has quit unexpectedly" doesn't show up and Console doesn't show anything.
    Any ideas on how I can debug this?

    Mine does the same thing. Try looking at the Console logs (under Utilities).

    yeah as I said in OP, console doesn't show anything.

    Are you sure? Mine shows some information about invalid IDs and stuff.

    Try launching Safari from the command line. If there's any sort of error output you should see it in your Terminal window when it quits.

    By the way, I've seen this same behavior but never bothered to try what I wrote. The resume feature of ML comes in handy here.
