safari randomly shuts down on me

Sounds like it's crashing. Are you browsing anything specific. You say random, but is it the same web page? Similar content? 100% of the time? etc...

Happens to me on my ipad. It usually happens when I have a ton going on. If I quit all the apps I haven't been using and reboot it stops.

I'm starting to have issues with Safari constantly refreshing pages. So far I've only noticed on one website, over at www.cultofmac.com. I think they have some freaking ad that makes it happen.

Not that you can do much about it, but can sometimes find out what's causing the crash by going to :

Settings>general>about>diagnostics and usage>diagnostics and usage data

I find that when safari crashes on me it's usually a low mem error. I am now able to avoid most of those crashes by being mindful of my multi-tabbed browsing and by ensuring apps really close (double tap home button)
