This is an annoying behaviour that I've been seeing since a while:

When I start typing in the search bar I get suggestions. I complete the query and start the search – the suggestions disappear. Google loads, then the suggestions reappear.

    This only happens
    • if Google is the default search engine, not if it's Bing,
    • only in fullscreen mode.
    Can anybody reproduce this?

I'm on 10.11.1. I reset Safari manually, but the problem persists.

Same problem here. Would love to know how to fix but I guess Apple has moved on to newer versions of OS and will never fix this.

Completely updated 10.11.6 and doesn't happen for me.

Any Safari Extensions installed? Unusual plug-ins?

Note that this problem only occurs in fullscreen mode. Uninstalling extensions and plug-ins was my first attempt but that didn't change anything.
