Why do we still have a search box next to the URL bar in mobile Safari? Can't they combine it like in OSX?
 
I'm sure they have some UX decision there.

When you enter an address, you get a keyboard with the .com (press and hold for other domains) button and no spacebar and a few other characters disabled to make sure only valid URL's can be entered.
 
It's one of the reasons I use Dolphin instead of Safari, (though I wish Dolphin hadn't messed with their tabs). I can't stand not having a unified address bar.
