Stalling for me as well with my rmini. Its so frustrating.... This issue has been going on since 8.0 for me. I have never had any issues after updates on my android phones.

Also having Safari issues on my IPad Air. When I switch over to Chrome, things are fine. However, I'd prefer to use Safari, since all my bookmarks are synced with my IPhone and MacBook. I suppose this is an IOS8 issue. Maybe it will be fixed eventually.

came in looking for this thread to see what problems people where having with Safari... it seems for me on my mini, touch becomes unresponsive for doing things like switching between tabs.... I found though that is I rubberband the page then all of a sudden it works.

They had better have all this fixed in 8.1 because they are messing with basic functionality.... very un apple like...... As soon as they realized all of this they probably should have reverted everyone back to ios7 and thrown 8 back in to beta....I know that would be a PR mess but could not be much worse than the one they are creating now

Same issue on my iPhone 6 and iPad mini retina,
Doesn't matter if it's on wifi or mobile network

Yeah, like retaining what you type in one tab, while looking at another tab, with only safari running?

Don't worry, the basic functionality ship has sailed A LONG time ago.

So today I upgrade my Macbook and Mac Mini to Yosemite, and throw the switch on iCloud Drive on both machines, my iPhone and my iPad. I had been waiting for Yosemite before taking the plunge with iCloud Drive.

Safari on my iPad no longer stalls out for me. It would seem I'm cured.

Are you on 8.1?

8.0 - I skipped 8.02 and am holding out for Monday to go to 8.1 when it's released.

I can only assume my stalling issue was related to Safari iCloud bookmark syncing or handoff somehow. I did not upgrade any of my devices to iCloud Drive when I upgraded them to iOS 8 - I waited for Yosemite.

There may be many causes of the Safari stall problem, but wanted to share that mine seemed to magically disappear last night and all I did was upgrade my Macs to Yosemite and then turn on iCloud Drive on all my Apple hardware including my iPad Air.

I have an iPad Air. I upgraded this morning to 8.0.2. as I saw a notification popped up when I woke up. So I upgraded. However, twice today, I was in another forum posting something and the web page (in Safari) and keyboard 'stalled' on me. I gave it a minute or so. It never ended up responding so I had to 'force close it'.

Anybody else experience this with 8.0.2? I never had this problem before, even up to 8.0.1.

I have this on my iPad Air as well once in a while in Safari since updating to 8.0.
