Safari stalling

Can anyone help me with safari?

Safari stalls and stalls my macbook at the same time. If I have itunes playing at the same time as I'm using Safari, iTunes stops playing. Sometimes I can't even force the application out for quite a while. I have snow leopard, but I had the exact same problem with leopard. If i keep using safari, eventually the system gets blocked and I have to re-install it.
