I just Love the Thread Title: "Safari Sucks"

Hhaha, yeah it kinda does suck at times. Suck memory that is, and is inconsistent on moving fast and slow. I feel ya man!

i love the look of safari, the design, how it just meshes perfecty witht the whole apple look, imo, firefox looks like it was designed by microsoft, with those huge buttons and stuff... i mean, this is a FAST ass connection at my college, completly off the charts...i have nothing else running, how can it take a while to load a site, and it's EVERY Site...not just one...and then someother times it's fast as lighting...so...unstable

The strength of your wireless has no relation to your bandwidth speeds.

not always true, I have a 16Mbit connection and i'm often connected at 10 or so, though for the most part with web pages anything over 512k you cant really tell much difference with.

Oh no, it definitely does. Do a bandwidth test when you have full strength, and then go farther out from your router and do a test with only one bar. You should definitely get different results.

College networks suck

You're on a college network. That means you share the bandwidth with everyone else at that college. And knowing most colleges, they get "just enough." Which means its slow as hell when everyone is on, but super fast when its just you and a few other people. I'd blame the college network well before blaming your browser. IMHO
