Safari tabs changed in recent update?!

Is it just me or have they tweaked the Safari tabs in a recent update? Now, my Safari tabs are subtly different and no longer 'light up' the selected tab. The only difference between the selected tab and all the others is a thin line which encloses the tab.

It was definitely not like this before today (when I updated my computer with the new iTunes, Quicktime and Security updates). I hate it and I'm struggling to see which tab is the current one!!!

I have enclosed a picture. Anyone else noticed any difference? How can I get it back to how it was?

something wrong with your safari
1. did u have some addon?
2. try delete pref file for safari

I haven't made any alterations. But I will try deleting the prefs file thanks. Nice to know it appears something has corrupted other than it being an Apple design change. 🙂
