Works fine to me. But I've experience issues with it on Firefox though.

May I add, that I'm extremely annoyed with the fact that YouTube didn't add the dark mode for iOS with the new updates

1. It’s free
2. I’m happy to support a dec and remove ads. Quite reasonable for a fraction of the cost of YouTube Red.
Wait... that doesn't make sense. It says i have to pay 8 bucks for it. Don't tell me it's only free in the u.s

Free in the States, but dev is in Germany. Not sure of your locale, but that must play a part here. My condolences. I can say, though, as someone who’s on YouTube regularly, I’d probably pay $8 for it. YMMV.
It's kind of unfair that Europeans have to pay for it. Obviously they don't value their costumers equality, so I won't pursue it. If everyone had to pay for it I'd defiantly buy it. And I understand the price difference, but free vs paid is s thing I feel storngly about. Maybe one day :)

That’s fair. I did pay $3 (I believe) to remove ads, but I definitely see your point.
