Hi there -

new Mac Mini - i7/32gig Ram - with everything up to date.... Safari web page memory hog??

Seems like every web page I'm on safari gives me a message (this page uses lots of memory and may impair machines performance). Don't let the mind wonder too much... we're talking Yahoo, mac rumors.... etc.... while I do not see any performance gaps.... is there some setting or other tweak to allocate more memory to safari?

I've never seen that message from Safari and have been a user of it since macOS Leopard. What extensions do you have loaded in Safari? Assuming you're running Mojave on that new Mini, any extension not approved would be blocked from loading. You could try removing Safari and reinstalling it. (Not sure if the system would allow that though.)

So, I basically use Firefox. Lately (last 2 weeks or so,), it's been using ALL my memory.
Even with wifi off, Work Offline enable, no pages open on the app, no extensions on.
Weirdness.
Gonna update the Safari beta & try it tomorrow.
