Hello,

On my bank's website, our usernames are the actual numbers of our debit cards. And although I've told safari never to remember the password for this site, it still remembers and displays my username/debit card number.

As this is sensitive information, I'd like Safari to never remember both the username and password. But I can't find how to do it.

Thanks.

(I'm still using an older Mac, on 10.13, with Safari 11.1.1)

I checked both those sites and I've deleted my baking website. For some reason it wasn't working before, but now it has!

Thanks!

Check there if you have your username, if yes delete it and try again your bank's website :
Ok. Update: it appears that I need to do that every time I log in. That's bad!

I selected: "Never remember password", which works (in the sense that I have to manually enter the password), but it still remembers the username.

And now, there is no mention of my bank's website in Safari's password list and the username is still there when I click "Login" on the webpage.

Any ideas?

Another thing to try:
  1. In Safari, go to Preferences/Privacy/Manage Website Data
  2. Select anything that is related to your bank and click the Remove button
  3. Quit and relaunch Safari
  4. Whenever you want to use your bank's website, go to File/New Private Window and create a Private Window
  5. After you are done banking quit Safari
  6. As a double check, you can clean out "Manage Website Data" entries whenever you launch Safari

Yes! That is a great idea, and it did work!

Thanks!
