My Safari icon wont stay in the dock. I can select "Keep in Dock" then move it to where it used to be in the Dock but it just goes back to the right side of all the icons and when I close Safari wont stay in the dock. Any suggestions?

Maybe a permissions problem. Try running that permissions check thing in the disk utility.

I did that but still no go. I even deleted the .dock.plist and started fresh with that but Safari still wants to go away. :(

have you tried quitting safari and before you open it again add it to where you want in the dock?
