Hey all,

Since yesterday all YouTube videos stopped working for me in Safari, just realised if I turn off AdBlock or AdBlock plus they will play, but with loads of ads obviously. Just started happening for the first time yesterday and now it's a permanent on YouTube.

Anyone else using AdBlock and get error message instead of the video? It's a real pain. It's been fine for years and now it doesn't work at all. Is AdBlock still a thing or do you use something else now. Just seen AdBlock Max in app store, Anyone using it. It says blocks ads on youtube, but this is a new thing, only started yesterday so that may be blocked now also.

Are there any messages anywhere that YouTube has changed anything this week.

No, it's not a subscription one Duane, just original old one. I use YouTube on Safari because it was the best bet mostly. Chrome is full pelt CPU, and Firefox flickers all the YouTube videos, always has, regardless of OS and no update ever fixes it, don't know why, just always has.

Marty, is that same as me, only last 2 days?

Once I disable adblockers YouTube starts playing again.

Yes, you are correct, I didn't realise that was what was causing the error immediately because instead of YouTube telling you that, you get those varied error codes. But did realise that after several failed attempts to watch videos. But then you have to sit through the ads. Presume it's the same on all OS now that use an adblocker on Safari. Was surprised there weren't a lot more threads on this problem in last few days, hence why I started this one, incase it was just me/Sierra

I'm just using Total Adblocker at Chrome and working beautifully.
