Not sure why this has started happening but recently on Youtube the videos are always out of sync with the audio. Even in non HD.

Yet when I use Google Chrome there is no problems. I have tried uninstalling flash player and uninstalling Safari etc and re installing but I still have this issue.

Anyone got any suggestions to get it fixed in Safari?

I would rather use that than Google Chrome.

I see this is a somewhat old thread, but this just started happening to me so I thought I'd mention it. When watching some Youtube videos in Safari, as well as some videos from news sites (like CNN, NY Times) Safari will also play those out of sync. Then I'll try the same video in Firefox and it plays fine. Also, Safari is doing another strange thing where sometimes the progress bar on a Youtube video will fill up long before the video has played its full time, and when the bar is full the video will stop playing even though the time counter will continue to progress as if the video were still playing and the bar were not yet full. And of course, as many others have mentioned in other places, I also get jerky Netflix playback now from Safari unless I watch in full screen mode.
