Safari's Downloads Window

    why oh WHY doesn't safari BY DEFAULT have the downloads window close after downloading?! not only is this not default, but there is no option to even tell the downloads window to close! MADDENING!

    is there an applescript or something i can use to make this happen, since the safari dev crew clearly love to continuously stare at the marvel that is safari's downloads window... :rolleyes:

    well saft can do it, it costs but I think its well worth it. maybe someone else knows another option.

    I think this behavior is changed in Safari 3 in Leopard. I can't remember off the top of my head if Safari 3 beta running on Tiger also changes the behavior, but you could try it if you haven't.

    no, the download window just DOES NOT close by itself after finishing the download, even on Leopard. I just did a test :mad:

    It doesn't close because you might... just might want to run what you just downloaded.
