I'm sure at some point I turned this feature on (the one where a yellow pop-up balloon appears showing a link's destination URL when the cursor hovers over it), but have decided it's more annoying than useful (especially as the same info also appears in the bottom bar of the browser window when I turned that feature on).

However I've checked Safari's preferences and cannot find the option to turn the cursor one back off. Can anyone help? Or am I mistaken that I turned it on in the first place and that it was already there from the off.

    Cheers.

I've never actually heard of that feature, it's not there for me anyway.
    You on Safari 3?

    Yep, 3.0.4.

I can't even remember if I turned it on in Safari 2, updated to 3, and in this version the menu option's been removed so it's now stuck in the on position!

I'm really really am sure there was an option in preferences to turn it on but I've gone round preferences until my eyes go funny and just can't see a way to turn it off! I've even been through system prefs to see if the option was in there but to no avail. It's real annoying.
