Safe/OK to leave MBP on overnight?

I'm downloading some big files and am wondering if there is any danger leaving my baby on overnight? Will it hurt the computer/fans/or screen?

No. I have a workstation dual G5 that has been on continuously for almost 5 years.

You have no need to worry, I do it often, You may want to turn the screens backlight of however, (F1 or in System Preferences).

You don't even have to turn off the backlight on the new LED backlit models 🙂
