Its the one I use on my mini and it works just fine.

The Mac Mini won't be getting an upgrade for a while. So you can go ahead and get one now. I don't see why not.

I predict that amd will be invading the mac mini range if amd ever make it into apple. Best time to get one now before it's all over red rover!

Since it doesn't sound like a dramatic improvement in specs (except for video) for the low end Macbook Pro, that might mean that the next Mini upgrade may not be dramatic.

You can do what I just did. Bypass the whole DVI to HDMI adapter deal and go with this.

Mini-Displayport to HDMI direct. 1 cable and no adapters.
