Just wondering if its safe to write AppleScript that will clear /Library/Caches folder on every system shutdown?
What are possible implications doing it?

I'm using DevCleaner to tidy up Xcode as I'm short of disk space. It's free with 'tip the developer' if you want to.

Performance is something that does not count in my case.....

In that case you might as well work on an iBook with a G4 in it. - Why do you want to regularly clear caches in the first place?

I will not use it than as I dont like to projects which quality is unknown for me.

What do you mean? He said nothing about the quality of the product. He said it was free with an option to leave a tip. None of that says anything about the quality

To free up some space on SSD.

I mean that I will not install software from unknown (for me) source(s). Just to protect myself. That simple.

I am extremely wary of using 3rd party apps. I needed to tidy regularly so I had to find a quick way. (not for long as new MacBook will be ordered in a few days). I have used the app several times and I tipped the developer.
