Hey folks! So...I've been having serious system freeze issues and I'm using Cocktail to do some system maintenance to see if that helps. Cocktail did a search for corrupted preference files and discovered about 7 of them, some of which are actually repeats. My question is...is it safe to delete them? I'm asking because some of them see to be potentially important for the integrity of the system (I don't know that this is the case, however, as I don't really know what preference files are (!)) One of the files is: /Users/[name of my home folder]/Library/ and one that's repeated twice is: /Users/[name of my home folder]/Library/Preferences Any thoughts would be much appreciated!
