Well, I need to get a new Mac this week, as some $;&/)@ sole my 27" iMac.

I hadn't go around to upgrading to Lion yet.

I have a time machine backup (on a time capsule device) that is just a week old (obviously created in Snow Leopard)

When I go to set up the new Mac when i first boot it up (running lion) will the migration assistant copy across the home folders, account settings, iTunes library, iphoto library and all the apps etc WITHOUT also coping the system/OS files so Lion runs like new, or will I get lots of conflict from old Snow Lion system files etc.

(it would be a pain to have to do it all manually as I have tens of thousands of files to contend with)
