Safe to touch the screen?

I have a 15" 2008 uMBP and it seems like the screen is very hard, sort of like my iPod Touch screen, so I'm guessing fingerprints won't harm it in the least. Do you guys touch it, or allow people to touch it?

I don't touch it, mostly because there's no advantage or point in touching it. It's a screen, not a touch screen. It's not "unsafe" to touch though...

As Miles said, it's not like it's unsafe, it's just a massive pain, because then I have to clean fingerprints off.

Agreed, the glass is thick enough that you can't hurt the screen just by touching it. I really hate the fingerprints all over the place so I try to keep fingers away.

I hate people who when tryin to point at something on my MBP screen insist on touching the screen with a grubby finger - never a light touch either - their finger is always thrust at 100 miles an hour - moving the screen back and leaving a smearing trial 😡
Worse still are the muppets who use pens instead of fingers😡 These people should be punished to the max!😀
