I think our town got rated like the 8th safest town in the country. I don't know what they based it on though.
 
Last time I heard Hartford, CT was the 7th most dangerous city. Its only dangerous though if your a gangster. Then again last week shots were fired at a bus stop two times. Also, cars and even busses always drive through the crosswalks even through there are cross walk gaurds.

The gist of the story was, Camden respectfully disagrees with the report's assertion that they're the most dangerous city. ;)
 
I grew up in Amherst, NY...we've had the #1 ranking something like six out of the last ten years and are always in the top 5-10. 110,000 people and one murder is a bad year...and we're not particularly wealthy, either. Above average for the Buffalo area, but it's not the Hamptons...
