I've never sold anything this expensive before, so I'm not sure about Craigslist. What do people recommend as far as selling a 2017 MBP 15" in US?

Meet someone in person and do a cash sale.

Any online service takes a cut + payments + shipping is a hassle

And text a friend a photo of them and the license plate of their car when they show up. Just in case...

almost all local police departments allow to conduct buyer/seller meeting next to the precinct or even at their parking lots. i found about it from news after a man was killed by two teenagers buying a bicycle from him. people with no good intentions won't show up if you'll set up a meeting at the sheriff's parking lot.

always a public area. 99% of the time its starbucks for me. I've sold dozens and always at starbucks. One time when I sold my GTI I met at the police station. Never go to their house or invite them to your house. Never go to an alley or street meet up. I want witnesses and cameras.
