My girlfriends iPhone froze up earlier in the week and after a hard reset it got stuck on the Apple logo screen, it only came back on after restoring via iTunes, then randomly the camera would freeze after taking a photo and if she called anyone she couldn’t hear anything and they couldn’t hear her, if you try a reboot it takes like 10minutes to come on and the screen flashes every few minutes.

She takes it to Apple and they say there’s a hardware fault and replaced the phone, she restores the phone from a backup and the same thing happens again, freezes in camera and calls are silent, so we restore it from a different back up, works fine for a few hours and then same thing again.

I know it’s unlikely but possible that 2 iPhone 7’s have the same hardware fault, could it be something to do with her Apple ID or backups? Has anyone heard of this or anything similar?

Potentially, we’ve set it up as a new phone and it’s still having the same issues. going into Apple with it today

While the phone is up and running, check what version iOS the phone is at. Sounds a lot like the Springboard crashes that were happening with early v11 that was fixed with 11.0.2(?). You'd think that a refurb from Apple would be on something a little more recent iOS-wise, but, guess anything is possible.

11.2 has the Month 13 Springboard fix, but if you have this issue, device would be crash more frequently.
