I am petty sure many of you facing the same push notification issues which sometimes it working perfectly and sometimes it don't. It works when you reboot your iPhone or the notification will alert you when you open the application (IM Chat especially or mail).

I searched and read some of the forums, some people said it happen since iOS4, which I am not really sure. But what I know I had this issue quite sometimes and right now I am trying on iOS5 Beta 7 and I still have this issue. I guess Apple didn't fix it. They just did a cosmetic touch up on the look in notification center.

Anyone know is there any third party app able to do the trick?

Notifications have ALWAYS been the iPhone's weak link.

The fan boies will protest this statement but it is cold hard fact.

What is worst is Apple hears us but refuses to rework the entire notification system.

Just LED indicator for messages, calls, mail etc would be helpful but this blinking light keeps some of the iPhone owners awake!:p

While I'll agree it's terribly done, mine has always worked perfectly.

Actually a lot of the fanboys agree that iPhone notifications have been crap.

In my experience, any problems related push I've had were ALWAYS the fault of the app's push server/provider, not the APNS.

running the latest beta of iOS5. I don't seem to be having any notification problems at all. Your problem might be specific to the app developers push servers.

I've only had problems with notifications for 2 apps, the rest have been perfect. one that i always have problems with notifications is with Facebook (surprise surprise!) and now and then with an IM app, tho that's not often.

Notification issues is more than likely down to the app, not the device.

Anyone else have problems with app store updates showing up with the badge? Mine never pop up unless I manually open the app and click the update buton. At that point, if I don't update and clse to the home screen, a badge will show up with how many updates there are. Am I missing something?
