I intend to keep this mbp for 3 years & do not want to see a slow down in performance Thanks
The SSD has built in garbage collection; so you can force enable trim, or let the GC do its thing. No slowdown risk either way. If you want to enable trim, its very easy (just requires a quick file edit): http://digitaldj.net/2011/07/21/trim-enabler-for-lion/
