My Samsung SSD EVO 970 with thermal pad has a temperature of 69°C=156°F in the Acasis TBU401E Thunderbolt enclosure. Should I be worried about the lifespan of my SSD?

I contacted Samsung and they told me the EVO 970 is supposed to be used as an internal SSD in a computer. An external USB or thunderbolt enclosure is not supported. Why does Acasis sells then these enclosures?

This is an "nvme" drive, is this correct?

They DO "run hot". Seems typical of nvme drives, particularly in small tbolt enclosures.

I will GUESS that some enclosures may run a bit cooler than others, but ALL are going to get hot during extended heavy writes.

If there's a solution to this, I haven't seen one posted yet.

I replaced the Samsung SSD EVO 970 by a Samsung Pro 980 and the speed of the drive is now better. (read write 2800 MB/sec). The temperature is good (40°C= 104°F) when I put the Acasis enclosure on my Mac Studio. It doesn't run hot anymore.
