Pippen is one of the products that REVOLUTIONZED the gaming industry along with Apple Arcade. I dont know anybody with kids who are not subscribed to apple arcade. No other company can compete with the innovations of apple. Period.
Is that sarcasm? I don't know anyone with Apple Arcade. Apple does some amazing things, things are are stupid simple and make life better, they do a lot though that just have you scratching your head.

Apple has not innovated with Apple Arcade, they released their own subscription service for mobile gaming. This is not new or exclusive to Apple. I think something like Stadia is far more interesting and innovative. The idea of cloud gaming with AAA titles. I could literally be playing Red Dead 2 on my iPhone. Not that I would want to, but I could play a game that is 2 blue ray discs just to install the game on a PS4 and easily one of the most detailed and impressive games of all time.

If that was not sarcasm, what did the Pippen do to revolutize gaming? I know of the system but only from it being a failed attempt by Apple to try and get into the console market

They dont deserve credit because all they do is COPY APPLE or adds gimmicky features that add no value. On the other hand, apple takes their time to PERFECT features before they are released.
Remember, the first 4 iPhones were Samsung SoC's in them, in fact, the iPhone you are likely using right now is a Samsung display. Sure, they copy stuff, but who doesn't? Apple copied the Tablet because a Microsoft employee irritated Steve Jobs at Bill Gates house. Smartphones existed before the iPhone, not well thought out. But the reality is, others pioneered a lot of these devices before Apple did. But we must still give credit to Samsung for trying new experiences.

It seems like the main criticism of folding phones is the crease. That's a bug that will certainly be fixed. When it does, why wouldn't it be amazing to have a phone the size of a 13 pro max that opens up to something the size of an ipad mini? It's mind boggling that we have folding freaking screens and people are whining about creases.
we would end up with thicker phones.
companies are trying to combine laptop, phone, desktop into one device, they end up with a device that wont any of them right, compromises every where.

It’s really not.
You can hate on the notch all day, but the fact is a cut out at the top of the screen Is *always* going to be more intuitive than something blocking or interfering with the dead center.
A dark wallpaper makes the notch less noticeable.
No matter what wallpaper you use, The crease is still there.
Watching 16x9 video, the most common aspect Ratio, causes the notch to disappear since it’s not being utilized.
No matter what aspect ratio you’re watching in, the crease will always be there.
Whatever you Do to your phone, The notch is the notch and it’s not going to change. It’s not going to get better, It’s not going to get worse.
Meanwhile, folding and unfolding your phone can easily cause the crease to become more noticeable.
They are two very different issues
Reliability issue vs cosmetic issue huge difference.

It would be swell to fold a 12.9 inch iPad Pro into a 6.4 inch iPad mini. Or a 15.8 inch iPad Pro Max into a 12.9 inch iPad Pro.

Foldable phones are a solution in search of a problem.
Search of problem? The concept is a phone that turns into a tablet… the solution helps to avoid purchasing a tablet.

If Apple brings to market a foldable iPhone.. that turns into an iPad Mini the hype of that product would be insane.

I've always said, if you don't like it, don't buy it. Some people here seem to think that they will have to buy a folding phone in the future. I see zero need in my life for Alexa, but I sure as hell don't trash others that do.

Pioneered means usable, how many tablets did Microsoft sold before Apple released iPad ?
Tablets were practically useless before iPad, almost all touch screens were useless before iPhone used capacitive touch screen.
Apple worked with Corning to develop Gorilla Glass for 1st iPhone.
Apple is good at picking right technology and determining how to use that technology in their products so that user would love to use those features and perfecting that technology.
Apple might be using Samsung displays in their phones but Apple determines the specs and control manufacturing process. Apple tightly controlls everything that is used in their products.

The claim made was that Samsung isn't selling enough foldable phones for problems to be discovered by customers. Are you saying 20+ million foldable phones sold each year isn't enough for issues to be found by customers?
It’s not issues to be found, but rather issues that people who don’t normally treat their devices with any kind of special consideration will experience. Because the prices are so high on foldables, the people buying them today are going to generally have the ability deal with treating them with more care, or not and be able to afford to buy or already own more than one device. If foldables were to sell at more than 10% of overall smartphone sales, the higher failure rates will start to compound and there will be a LOT of unhappy customers.

Wow so many comments already. It seems somone is jelly. People first hated on Samsung for copying Apple, now they are hating on them for trying something different. Even if the Galaxy Fold had no crease, was slim and perfect no Apple fanboy would buy it anyways, not sure why complain. I wish Samsung well and hope the technology matures so Apple can bring some of that to the iPhone/iPad in some way or another. I love technology and I don’t like ignoring or pissing on other brands just because they are not Apple.

There are real world physical limitations that are unresolvable that make these products a total non-starter.

Even if Apple magically came out with an iPhone tomorrow that magically turns into 2 iPhones side by side, it wouldn't be large enough to be usable for anything, and would have only drawbacks in size and weight.

Lol these things aren’t going mainstream until Apple decides to release a foldable phone or tablet. That’s if they decide to release one. Then it will be mainstream
