    Some fun banter....

Have a look at the samsung ad showing what they think they will be able to achieve with their new flexible oled displays. How long do you think before Apple have a folding iphone? iphone 7? iphone 8?

a LONG LONG LONG time. Apple will not produce a foldable screen when they can not even produce an HD screen for their current iPhone. Every smartphone in the market is larger then 4", has a larger screen resolution then 1136x640 and every smartphone has a larger battery then 1500 mAh. Apple is so far behind Samsung its not even funny. Blackberry, of all the companies manages to produce a 5" Z30 phone with 1800 mAH, with a new rumor of a Z50 with 5.2" FHD of 1920x1080 while Apple is stuck with an iPhone 5S with a 4" screen. Samsung is estimating that by next year all products will support 2560x1600 displays at potentially 550ppi and by 2015, Samsung estimates 4K resolution on all products with a potential 800+ppi. Samsung is the most highly innovative company in the world as well as the fastest company to release products in the market. I estimate that by 2016 Blackberry, despite there efforts with the 5" Z30 and 5.2" Z50 will not exist and that Apple will announce iPhone (7), It will still not come even close to Samsung. Samsung rules, HTC rules, Nokia rules, Blackberry rules.....Apple doesn't.

The idea is pretty cool. But I doubt it could hold up to long term daily use at least with current technology. I would bet the first screen will be bendable, but not like that. 5 years down the line, there is no doubt it will work that good, just not next year.

Folding screen? After a few times, it will have permanent creases. Eventually it cracks. End of story.
