Why are the phone OLED screens seem to have a blue/green tint if you tilt them to the sides? My iphone SE LCD screen does not have that, and I do not think OLED tvs have that.

I saw this on a Samsung OLED phone. Its seems like a lower grade technology, but everyone seems to prefer OLED over LCD

Given BOE's disappointing track record, it's strange to see Apple keep going back to them only to get let down again.

I’m half-serious with the above suggestion.

Given China’s track record (sorry, I know some deny this but it’s how that country does business), they get access to some of Apple’s IP which is probably used or sold elsewhere in the world.

“Oh no we lost the contract AGAIN! 😈”

It is often forgotten that these are not Samsung panels. These are displays technologically developed by Apple, which outsources the production to others.

YOU'RE WRONG. These are not Samsung displays.
They have nothing to do with the screens in smartphones manufactured by Samsung.
Samsung is a subcontractor for Apple. Apple developed the technology.

This load of asinine BS again!

Apple DOES NOT develop the display tech. They use Samsung Display's tech and IP. These are SAMSUNG PANELS with a few bits of Apple's customisation added.

The iPhone 14 Pro and 15 Pro models use Samsung M12 OLED panels. The Galaxy S24 series will debut with the newer M13 OLED.

The regular iPhone 15 uses Samsung M12 OLED with an LTPS backplane, software-limited to 60 Hz.

Stop spouting your weird fantasies as fact.

Samsung Display is a shady company. For the younger people reading, they used to (maybe still do) introduce their televisions with really high quality panels. They would send those to reviewers and get great reviews/ratings. Then, shortly afterward, they would produce all of their panels in Mexico with very subpar quality. Bait and switch.

The fact that Samsung continues to use PWM in their displays shows they only care about one thing: meeting specs in the cheapest way possible without any regard for human health.

Going by your "logic", what does that make the company that uses these parts on their highest selling devices?
