I'm not saying Samsung isn't doing anything, they obviously are, but the deals being offered are different from each carrier. At&t and Verizon offering BOGO with new line, T-Mobile offering $500 credit with trade in, and Sprint is just 50% off, no caveats as long as your on their lease program.No im pretty sure Samsung are solely responsible, especially for the deals at launch.
Carriers don’t want to sell an unlocked model, unless you pay , sometimes more than retail and/or an unlocking fee.
Unlocked doesn’t really fit the carriers business model.

So either each carrier negotiates its own deal with Samsung, or Samsung does a flat credit across the board and carriers decide how they are going to use that to generate sales, and whether they will sweaten the pot to get more customers.
