That's about where I'm landing after a few days of use. Honestly, I can't imagine there will ever be a day where I drain this thing down.Had the n9 for over a day.
Battery life for this phone is pretty insane.
Got nearly 9 hours of screen on time.

I think its the biggest feature of the Note 9 and some people are overlooking it. These days smart phones are pretty refined but battery life is always something that can improve as a day of heavy use can kill most phones. Add in the best screen on the market, snappy performance, Large internal storage with SD card support, Headphone jack and the S-pen and it really is the most complete phone you can buy. I also think it could easily be a 3 year phone. That's about where I'm landing after a few days of use. Honestly, I can't imagine there will ever be a day where I drain this thing down.
I believe that the iPhone (To many people but not me in particular) is a status symbol. I have a good friend who bought the top model iPhone X the day it came out for no other reason than the status of having the top of the line model on day 1. Sounds dumb to me but a reality for many people.
Spent about 2 hours playing with my Note today. Definitely a lot of good features but some things just feel downright clunky compared to the iPhone. I use 1Password and the auto fill feature on android is terrible imo not to mention that the Samsung browser doesn’t support it.
Another thing that’s really pissing me off is that Google assistant will not read calendar appointments off of my family calendar (created through setting up my family group). Maddening especially since both Alexa and Siri can do this.
I’m also finding home automation management kind of a pain on android. HomeKit gives me an excellent widget to quickly turn on and off my devices. The SmartThings widget as well as the notification panel widget is terrible. Google home home automation is nice voice wise but I like having buttons on my phone that I can press
Most of these issues are Android issues as opposed to Note issues. As far as the actual Note goes, I’m loving the camera, loving the screen, loving the S pen, and loving a lot of other little things the Note does.
Just gotta love Android a little more in order to keep it.
What's everyone here using for display protection so far? I would not use any, but I don't know if the S-Pen will scratch the display and I do plan to keep this phone the full year
Yeah I’ve been reading about them over on Android Central. They are getting really good word of mouth.I'm using a whitestone dome glass screen protector and its great.
I’m trying to work up the nerve to spend that kind of money and dare to attempt that installation in a house full of curious cats.
Actually the tip of a cat’s tail makes a good brush to clean out speakers and ports on an older phone before using alcohol wipes and microfiber cloths. It helps if the cat is really laid back and better yet, a deep sleeper, oh and a very clean cat. Uh, don’t ask. The tail was just there, okay.![]()
Feel your pain...those are all amongst the issues I have my my list whenever I switch back to Android. HomeKit and the Home app are a step above Android’s current implementation. I love having both a Control Center widget and centralized app that ironically gives me easier and ironically, more customization of my smartphone setup.
I know there are a laundry list of features and functions that are unique to Android but I just find so many aspects of how I personally like to use my smartphone are preferable on iOS.

The Samsung Pass auto fill is quite easy. Not sure why you say difficult? You didn't try that? In websites/apps, you just click the field, the Samsung Pass icon will pop up, just tap it, authenticate using finger/iris and the fields are filled in.
In the smarthings app, you can create dashboards for controlling your device. Maybe you want to look at that first before saying it is difficult. One good thing about it, I can control (Samsung) smart appliances like washer, aircon, etc. HomeKit is still child's play
I don't have my Pixel 2 on Pie. I like it exactly where it's at on Oreo. No lag, no battery drain. Honestly, Google is taking this copying of Apple too far with that crap.Though I am happy to say my last few iOS updates have worked out just fine and for once I have no complaints about my iPhones. I don't talk about them much and haven't ventured on the forum at large, but I do love my iPhone 8 Pluses.
I'm going to stay clear of Google this year. I know Samsung is slow on updates, but if the updates they do get manage to ensure continued stability and smooth functioning, they will keep me on their hook.
While I never warmed up to my S8+, I have a friend who says hers has been rock solid. So I like where Samsung is trending so far.
Samsung's browser is by far the smoothest and quickest browser going. But if that wasn't reason enough to use it over Chrome, then Samsung Pass integration should be. Use it all the time. Samsung pass also works on apps as well. Love it.
On subject of the new watch. In the UK it comes with the new duo charger, which I will be buying anyway,, so with my s3 sold or traded in, the new watch only costs me roughly £100
Must resist, must resist......
[doublepost=1535226045][/doublepost]How is battery life for e everybody (exynos model)?
I'm at 4hr 7 mins screen on time with 34% remaining and have been on 4g /LTE all day.
Not sure how that compares really

Maybe because chat about it is hidden away, off-topic in Note 9 threads?![]()
Congratulations!Got my n9 512gb
Do any of you find the screen a bit yellow ?
Compared to my s8+
I have to use adaptive mode to turn the yellow down.
I didn’t say no e automation was difficult I said it was a pain. And it is compared to iOS. While you may feel HomeKit is child’s play it supports things I use that require a PITA workaround on Android (and hence the Note)The Samsung Pass auto fill is quite easy. I agree with this as I am one of those people. After one or two days I’m already frustrated with Android and the Note without maybe taking a deeper look into workflow options. So true. One thing the recurs time and time again with apple fans/users are that they are too quick to jump the gun to dismiss Android/Samsung when they only have little or no knowledge at all about things that can be done.

In terms of Password management, using Samsung Pass completely defeats the purpose of cross platform for me. I used 1Password because I can use it on my PC, Mac, iPad, Note, etc. and there is no doubt that the iOS version is MUCH better. I don’t want 5o use Samsung pass for the same reason I don’t use apples passwoed manager.

Yes I did. The Oreo auto fill does not work in the Samsung browser (researched this).Did you set 1password as the autofill service instead of Samsung Pass in Settings?
Any previous S9+ users that got the Note 9 8gb version in their hands yet? Notice any overall performance improvements?
£100 trade in then £199 gets new watch and do chargerHow much is the Gear S3 trade-in? I've got one right now too, always on the lookout for a good deal!
Just out of curiosity, what specific obstacles are you facing? So while there are some obstacles coming from an iPhone I have to admit that I can't quit this phone right now.
Not even a little. I wasn’t expecting a dramatic leap or anything like that, but virtually zero difference. I think the 8gb of RAM is a good idea if you’re gonna keep the phone for 3 years or so. Otherwise it’s not worth the premium (unless you want the 512 storage).
