What? The post on MR about the tear down talks about a mimicked novelty feature, even in the headline. This was not emphasized in the article. It was mentioned in passing. In fact, MacRumors used many more words discussing this. This is deceptive journalism. But maybe this is the type of site MacRumors is, which is probably why Apple never comments to MR.
The MacRumors article has seven paragraphs, two of them about the AR hardware. Ok, maybe that could have been only one paragraph, but otherwise it reported pretty much all the main points presented in the iFixit article [relevant to a wider audience, the details of how to open the device is less interesting to most]. It naturally compared several of the hardware aspects with the iPhone (this is after all an Apple-centric website).

Just a guess, but I'd say most people don't pick their phones based on gimmicks like AR Emoji and Animoji. Thankfully.;)

It's almost as if this isn't an example of how Samsung's half ass attempts at cloning Apple yet somehow creating a subpar experience (*with more options tho!!!1!!*) are becoming routine thing in their brand.

Look at the built difference between Apple and Samsung, there's marker signs in a few places and generally an iPhone is built much better and cleaner.

Heatpipe, where?
That copper in the left top corner?

Yeah, they've used heatpipes since the S6 I think.

The copper pipe and pads where the flipped motherboard would go here.
