Yeah, but according to the tipster it's only a 15 percent decrease.

As I've stated before if you hoping the Z Fold 5 will eliminate the crease all together... then you would be extremely disappointed. The crease will still be visible from certain angles, but from personal experiences... when I use the Fold it doesn't take away from the content I'm viewing. That's why the best course of action is to try and experience it for yourself.

I'm guessing they was given the Fold to try for a week or two to write something up then return afterwards? Because they mentioned having to go back to the iPhone.

But I found this part interesting.
What was also fascinating to me was that my family, who are also die-hard iPhone users, didn’t share my enthusiasm for folding phones at all, and I think that’s when it hit me — folding phones are for geeks. And I’m a geek!

I have a different experience when interacting with iPhone users personally... they are enthusiastic about a folding phone especially when i show them some of the things i can do with it. From the S-Pen, customization and multitasking features. But the fact that it's Android... removes the idea of pursuing it. However, they are intrigued by it.

Now, I agree for the most part of what Gruber says about the flip phone... but its the intangiables he's missing. For the record, I've never owned a fliip phone... but from the reviews I've read about. They like the idea of flipping the phone open and closing it... something that can't really be explain, but experienced.

Then with the flex feature being able to take group photos or maybe do a recording for a quick presentation. And then there's the ability to use main camera to do selfies.

What Gruber is ignoring 50-70 years of history of the fashion industry

There was a fundamental change in clothing that led to currency notes being folded opposed to kept flat

It's something we take for granted now but no one keeps their dollar bills flat and the evolution of folding wallets and other personal affects that are pocketable

(You know the comment why fold your $$$'s in half they just become twice as thick square ........ :D)

Folding phones follow this simple yet learned trend of convivence that the masses of today use unquestionably other than critics of folding phones :rolleyes:

Bezels are okay if it provides a function behind it (not a fan of Pixel Fold inner screen bezels). And that’s what Samsung has done for their Galaxy Watch with the rotating bezels.

It’s similar to how Apple designed their Dynamic Island around the hole punch out… I think Samsung should have took a page out of Apple book and added a name to their rotating bezels feature lol.
