Just watched the video: I was so hesitant on AI gimmick features, but now, AI is is actually helpful!. From scanning and removing shadows for the phone, to a smart calendar, etc. and the privacy screen implemented in a excellent way, I think this is my last iPhone. Now let’s see how to migrate and how to do “airdrop” between Samsung and Mac and other persons iPhones.
Apple can not justify iPhone pricing model anymore. iPhone are now subpar. Below what they should provide for the price. Including lagging and mediocre keyboards!
Privacy screen is not an AI feature, it’s a feature of the OLED.
Samsung also produces the OLEDs that Apple uses, it is bound to make its way to the iPhone eventually.
It is already rumored for the new MacBook Pro…

While viewing angle privacy screen protectors have been around for at least a couple of decades, I've never once felt the need for one. Seeing the Galaxy 26 implementation - specifically, being Abel to pinpoint on-screen areas/elements that can be viewing angle obscured - that's pretty nifty. Considering that is an OS-level feature, combined with Apple's "privacy-first" marketing language, I see no reason something similar (tho obviously rebranded) doesn't find it's way to iOS at some point. And why woudl that not go across iPadOS and macOS?

The Privacy feature sounds like a must have thing to me. I hope all companies start doing that. Yet another reason I can add to my list as to why I plan to switch to Android (Samsung) for my next phone.

Whoa that is a pretty cool feature… At first I thought, “big deal you can do this with a $5 screen protector” but then the customizability blew me away. Turn it on for pass code, block notifications, use it on specific apps only, etc. well done Samsung, well done
Possibility. Though what the point if you already have the phone with a pin, face id, or thumb print security.

Some people opt to enter via pin. But if you don’t need it then just turn that feature off. All I’m saying is it’s a pretty cool innovative implementation whether you use it or not…… I’ve never felt the need for a privacy screen personally but that doesn’t mean I can’t appreciate a cool feature.

As one of the few folks who uses privacy screens on my phone, I hope this built-in feature comes to more phones.
See this is my point.

Though I think your right it should be built in but be able to turn off too or auto off by default.

It will be interesting to see how well the privacy display works. I had an HP laptop from work that had a similar feature a few years ago. It was great in theory but not in practice. Hopefully with a few years of development this new implementation is better. It would be great to have that in a future iPad.

S25 Ultra pre-ordered last year came with:

$50 credit toward accessories
"free" storage upgrade from 256 to 512 GB
$19 Buds 3 Pro's (I got an extra $50 discount on them) that I sold and kept my "free" Buds 2 Pro's

S26 Ultra does not have many additional features. If I were in the market, I'd wait for the big sale and get an S25U (or even S24U if you need S Pen with BT functionality and don't mind pointy corners).

From a cost perspective, S26 Ultra is more expensive than S25U was and there are less manufacturer and 3rd party incentives (Rakuten was 14% last year). 3% this year and you can get a Capital One $270 credit if you use their CC.

I think the days of revolutionary new phones are long past, from any manufacturer.
Looks like the Samsung has lost the tune.

But seriously, just having a little fun using the “doom and gloom” that surrounds the yearly iPhone announcement on the competition.

And while it seems like these phones are pretty cool, they couldn’t help themselves with the Apple copying just a bit…
Having the search button is fine, whatever.
But calling it “Finder” is crazy work.
