Hey Guys, i returned my OWC Acelsior, and gonna pull the trigger on the sonnet x16 pcie, and some samsung sticks. But which sticks are better for Video Editing purposes?

I read on a youtube comment the 970 pro's are better at sustained read and write performance vs the 970 evo pls burst.

I have no idea if this is true or not, but would like to confirm with you guys. Can anyone chime in? Thanks.

2 TB is very significantly bigger than 1 TB ;)
Lol I meant in terms of usability and performance. I would assume sustained read and write means a consistent expectation of performance vs burst having unexpected performance?

There’s will be no humanly appreciable difference between the two especially in a Raid array. The 970 Pro is almost double the cost it’s slower but uses more reliable MLC NAND Vs, the 970 Evo Plus uses TLC NAND

Using a NVME 1TB 970 EVO Plus on my Gaming PC the best thing is a 40% reduction claimed in CPU cycles required by NVME M.2 drives thanks to 4x Lanes PCI Express 3.0 Bandwidth

So more CPU horsepower available.
