Samsung monitor not working with Mac Mini

Samsung Monitor: Model Number: LS24D300HS/ZA

It works 50% of the time, and the other 50% I get a black screen with a bouncing message asking me to check signal cable (which is fine). Any idea how to fix this problem? Thanks!
