That report say the profit is only from Samsung Electronics, which is one of many divisions of Samsung conglomerate.

Well I just spent £530 on a Note 2 so that might have had something to do with it.

Of course that's operating income, not EBITA. I expect that # is probably $6.8 billion, still a record for them.
