I don't understand. what is this supposed to be? a distraction tactic?

are they innovating now?

As outdated Mac Pro is, it is more powerful than this computer. It is not competitor to Mac Pro. It might be competitor to revised Mac Mini.

Literally looks like a generic store brand of the 2013 mac pro. I think they are trying to capitalize on the online vocal niches of people tired of waiting for an update so they make a windows clone to bring people over. Too bad the specs are inferior

Does it explode? Sorry, had to say it.....

In a way it might be a good thing. If more people bring out these imitation, it might put Apple more pressure.

The ports aren't even symmetrical :( does that bother anyone else?

HPs attempt is relatively anemic, but at least it looks quite nice, and has B&O speakers.

This looks like a rushed attempt to just duplicate the Mac Pro and the HP thing without really trying to do anything innovative with this form factor.

Come on chaps, it isn't hard. Get some MXM Polaris or Pascal cards, a current Xeon, some ECC RAM, some SM961s and a SFX power supply and sell it. There might even be some people left that haven't lost faith that will buy it.

At least some of the bigger company's are bringing out new products. Unfortunately, Apple have totally ignored the Pro end of the market for too long. Karma is a bitch which will come back and bite Apple in the ass.

That's too bad, I recall working part time 2003-2004 at a university media library which also filmed conferences and interviews with academics and prominent diplomats and such in Geneva - we used Macs (including one of the first iMacs?) and I was impressed how well they worked for films editing and other media applications.

I actually quite like the look of Samsung's latest phones, and ironically the Note 7 is the one I like the most apart from the exploding bit. However this 'thing' is just plain awful. The 2013 nMP while different isn't a design that's won everyone over either, so why copy it? Sure 'borrow' the thermal core idea, but make it a cube so you can have more sides for the electronics - Second CPU, and SSD?

That thing must make on helluva startup sound:D

I almost thought it was another attempt at copying the Dyson. So if they have a hose attachment a loud start up sound would be expected.

Since were talking about explosions...wouldn't be surprised if you opened it up to see its actually powered by the Note 7. One way to get rid of their discontinued stock.

Samsung should give the USAF a bulk deal on the Note 7s to use them as stealth incendiary devices.
ISIS today announced free phones for jihadists.
Boom.

Thermal core is biggest piece of bullcrap Apple's marketing team has pulled out of their asses...

They compromised so much for having that stupid cooling system.
