Apple does not innovate anymore. Apple Pays its providers for new tech, but since most providers of Apple are from certain country, Apple has not been able to adopt such technologies. Including tech for the Apple car (which is a reality in China by certain banned brand) or Al foldable phone, or a non-invasive blood pressure or glucose monitoring. Even IOS is years behind Android in most regards, even basic stuff like the dial pad or Bluetooth are broken. And that's the reason why the Vision Pro feels Anachronic. Those are the cruel facts.

Will not be surprised if Samsung is able to launch it first. But waiting to see more health features/sensors to be added to Apple watch

Good, I hope Samsung win. It would do Apple no harm at all to feel some extra heat. They are drowning in cash and so often behind the curve on features because they think (correctly) people will still come to them because they are "Apple". It's beyond time to see them sweat and start to push more boundaries.

I would get a device from whoever figures this out. This is the kind of tech race we need.

I wonder if Abbot and Dexcom, two behemoth medical device makers and current manufacturers of the most popular CGM devices, are working on their own concept knowing that Apple and Samsung are rushing to disrupt their market.
The smart watch noninvasive version will probably be “elevated” “low” in terms of readings, not an exact reading updated every 5 minutes like the current medical sensors that read interstitial fluid. If they’re using machine learning to triangulate readings based on patterns like it sounds like, they’ll be legally blocked from giving a reading probably. All this stuff has to get through the FdA

And this thing isn’t even necessarily possible — which is what’s funny about the “Samsung doesn’t have a timeline” line. They’re trying to figure out a way to do it is a few steps from getting it to market. I won’t hold my breath.

If I remember, Samsung had a smart watch before Apple released the Apple Watch, so yes, being first to market doesn’t mean anything.

Yet another Bloomberg article attempting to shift share prices.
Yep. I remember those early Samsung watches that required a physical SIM card. But only cause I worked in a phone store.

No one else remembers Samsung was first.

I figured - I'd settle for even just general ballpark of what my blood sugar is doing.

If Apple or Samsung can make it pretty accurate (which I doubt) it will be an exciting time.

Let’s not forget that Apple NEEDS Samsung for their Iphones screen toys LOL
GO SAMMY!!!
