It’s just a matter of time before Bixby ends up in the grave with S Voice and all of the other discontinued Samsung apps that were headline features of previous Galaxy S phones.

To be honest I’ve wondered that myself a few times. I’d like to think that with the investment they’ve made for it and the effort they’re putting in will mean it sticks around.
But their track record is a little worrying.

Siri > Bixby

That's rare. Lol. Apple Maps and Siri are hilariously bad.

Off topic: Apple Maps has greatly improved and I use that as my primary GPS source when traveling. For you to say hilariously bad I think is an exaggeration, because it’s improved greatly from where it used to be. Siri still has its issues, but works enough for my own needs. I don’t have any complaints.

Hey guys let’s maybe let Siri learn how to set multiple timers at once before we start doing multiple users here ok? It’s only one of the biggest most powerful companies in the world

Here's the thing, if I get an android phone I want google, not this crap. This is why i joke and call galaxy phones bloatware specials. This isn't even an android phone, it's a forked android phone layered with bloatware. I'm sure many users don't care, heck someone keeps buying HP laptops and whatever loaded with bloatware so they don't really know any better. Granted good hardware makes it easy to forgive and samsung does well there.

On the Galaxy, you can use both, Google and Bixby. Google for search inquiries and general information, while Bixby is used for actual work/tasks/ macro functions and controlling smart home devices. But Bixby also uses cloud to cloud search inquiries where in it uses Google's database to feed information to it. Bixby 2.0 will open up a whole new world of features and capabilities that no one has yet seen.

Fun fact: Google's head of Assistant, Larry Heck, now works for Samsung.

Can’t imagine HomePod will linger for long without this capability.

A software update - a la the transition from early versions of watchOS to a more rounded, nuanced edition - should do it, as the hardware is very capable.

I can see it staying, it’s an amazing speaker that does a lot. Controls my home kit accessories super quickly and gets me news and weather updates, sets a time (multiple would be nice), and answer basic questions.

I’ll be getting three more, I see no point in personalised request when we all have iPhones and watches on

Think you've misunderstood / I wasn't writing clearly.

I was saying I don't think it will be long before HomePod gets multi-user option :)
