I don’t get it, you can track your items if they are lost but the minute they are stolen the tag becomes useless?

Seems like they have limited the function of these tags before they’re even released.

There is a huge potential for misuse of AirTags. Controlling husbands following their partners every move is just one of many scary scenarios.

I keep seeing posts like this, are there really that many couples where this is an issue? My wife and I have find my working with our iPhones already and can check each other's locations whenever we want with that. Would AirTags really show much else? Are there really that many people out there in relationships where this is that big of a deal? To me if you have issues big enough where someone needs to be secretly tacking the other the trackers themselves should be the least of your worries.

Pretty difficult to steal a product that doesn't exist, right? I mean, following your logic Tesla ripped off the "Apple Car" and Oculus ripped off the "Apple <insert vr headset name here>."

Let's go the other way as well. Apple stole the idea of a cell phone from Motorola, The idea of a processor was lifted from Intel, etc. etc. etc.

And of course, who can forget the aptly titled "AirPower Clone" Charging mat - yet another product that this website was happy to pile onto - even though Apple wasn't able to release it.

You're welcome to hate Samsung or any other company that doesn't have a fruit logo - but c'mon man, take those rose colored goggles off once in a while.
The whole world knew they were making them for a year now. You really think Samsung came up with the idea to make a tag like this out of the blue? They wanted to beat Apple to be first. Come on man
