Samsung about to release the newer and faster SSD this month so now its a good time to buy SATA II! Newegg

I personally think the $179 deal on Newegg it great for the 470. Bought one today to re-do my MBP setup (see sig).

Bought an OptiBay, SSD and 1TB HDD. Had the same config in my old 17" MBP before I sold it all off for the 15"

2 months ago I got Intel 320 120gb for $260! Samsung seem like a killer deal for now! Maybe it will be even cheaper once the 830 series is released!

I paid 200 dollars for mine (the 128gb model) in Ecuador, i think everyone should buy the 470 now and at that price it seems a great deal.

They are if you are willing to get a refurb. I picked up a 256 fro around $1/mb from Tiger Direct. They no longer have the one I bought but have:

Corsair CSSD-F240GB2/RF2 F240 Force Series Solid State Drive - 240GB, 2.5", SATA II, 3Gbps (Refurbished)

for about $1/mb. Similar prices exist on smaller drives - I just put a 32 GB in a MB; the drive cost $35 from Fry's after rebate.

I am real happy with my SSD in a 2011 MBP (refurb Crucial M4).
