Dunno if anybody is interested but for android tablets Samsung seem to some a good job. 3 windows can now work at once. Software will be the draw back though compared to iPadOS

Samsung Galaxy Tab S7 will be available in Wi-Fi only and 4G options

Maybe I use my tablet different from others, but I don't find the apps lacking in number or quality at a tablet level. Maybe it's because I stick to usage that is tablet-focused instead of trying to make my tablet a second phone?

At a hardware level, Samsung makes some NICE tablets. I won't argue that maybe the tablets don't entirely get the software attention that phones do, primarily as it relates to updates. Shoot - Samsung announced 3 years of updates for phones but seemingly left out tablets in that mention.

One correction @The Game 161 it'll be 5G, not 4G, though I guess it'll also connect to 4G when 5G isn't available.

I will be honest I don’t use many apps on my iPad. The ones are normally only twitter, Reddit and Tapatalk.

I'm all about the idea of a Tab S7+ but I'll wait til the keyboard is bundled with the tablet at a lower price, the price is too steep.

The Tab S4 will do until then.

I'm so glad Samsung gave up on the 4:3 approach of the Tab S2 and S3, though they certainly saved me some money by going down that path.

I recently used LumaFusion in my iPad Pro to edit a video for a school event.

I also have apps like notability, Apollo, Tweetbot, fantastical and am now playing “slay the spire”. All currently iOS only.

I will say that the iPad app ecosystem is still miles ahead.

Honestly, where would Android tablets be without Samsung? This thing is gorgeous. So far all the hands on reviews have been nothing but positive. This might be the first time I decide to get a tablet.

I signed up to reserve my Tab S7. Not going for the Plus version, and selling my Tab S3 through Swappa can offset a nice chunk of the cost of it.

Will try this tab S7 plus out

I don’t see why anyone would buy an Android tablet. Google has long since given up on developing Android for tablets and is now trying (and failing) to push ChromeOS instead. Paying iPad Pro money to run stretched out phone apps seems illogical. And yes, I’ve owned multiple Android tablets, going back to Moto Xoom.

I've said it before, I just don't see this "stretched out phone apps" thing people keep harping on. I enjoy the apps I use on my tablet, none of which seem out of place. Maybe I'm just getting apps from decent developers that coded properly to work with the larger screen?

Depends on your needs. I don't use many apps on my ipad Pro anyway. Hardware wise the tab s7 plus I would say is very good and the screen is the best you can find on any tablet. It also runs 120hz at QHD so for films, shows, YouTube and gaming I would say this is a great option.

There's certainly a market for both that's for sure. Dex from a brief hands on is far better than I expected. Something ipad doesn't really have

I never had an issue with the apps I use or using new apps on any Android tablet. Android apps scale pretty damn good.

I never had an Android tablet as large or as premium as the S7 plus. This is why I'm going for it. And DEX will replace my urge to get a chrome os machine.

Shame the UK only gets 128gb versions, while other regions get 256gb. I know it has an sd card slot, but 128gb for a tablet is still a bit poor.

And to think that when I got my Tab S3 the only version you could buy at the time was 32 GB, unless you went to Best Buy which had an exclusive on a 128 GB version (which I bought). I still have 32 GB free and I have some hefy files on it (some movies I ripped and put on it for some air travel), with a 32 GB SD card filled also.

For any tablet/laptop, I prefer to store all my main pics on board. Which is easily past 200gb.

I've been tempted by the Android Tab series before but the smaller screen size always ended up ruling it out and kept the iPad 12.9. So this is the first one I'd definitely buy because it looks superb and cheaper than the iPad.

Only I bought an XPS 13 6 months ago to replace my iPad. Because this would have been a day 1 purchase otherwise. Can't really justify £800 for some quick access to web browsing & YouTube!

Completely disagree with the comment about not seeing why anyone would pay iPad Pro money (it's not anyway) for an Android tablet. For starters there are many like me who are sick of iOS and want something different from a tablet/portable device.

Galaxy Tab S7+ and Note 20 Ultra are nice devices but if I had to choose one I'd go with the tablet WIFI version and use any phone as a hotspot modem. While it won't completely replace a laptop or Surface hybrid it's much more evolved than iPad Pro which still gives you a blown up tablet home screen when connected to external monitor like Samsung devices from 8 years ago vs a proper DeX desktop home screen now. That huge gorgeous AMOLED screen is also a major attraction and the bonus bundled pen. I think they should've bundled the kickstand back case sans keyboard to complete the package.

Preorder here in NZ gets you the keyboard cover..
