Ideally the tab at $300 - $399 without contract would have potentially given the iPad a run for it's money. At $599-799 it's just that bit too pricy.
EXACTLY.
I am waiting until around march-april of next year to buy a tablet. I would love to have an Android tablet, but it MUST MUST MUST MUST be cheaper than the iPad. And I don't mean like 20 bucks cheaper, in order for ANY of these other tablets to have a chance, they must be at least $100 cheaper while being the same size and offering the same if not more features.
Or else me and most others are gonna plop down the extra bucks to go for the top of the line product (Apple), we know it will have better resale value and is guaranteed to work GREAT.
Most people, including myself, are only even considering iPad alternatives if they are cheaper. If I'm going to spend the big bucks, I want the best device (ipad or iphone).
